Just like how a song, an article of clothing, or a certain food can instantly trigger a long forgotten memory, Perf creates a custom scent to capture who you are at your current stage of life.
Perf is an eCommerce experience where individuals can find and purchase a personalized fragrance for themselves or a loved one through a personality typology assessment.
my role
As the head of customer experience for the company, I developed all aspects of the brand experience from naming, brand values, logo design, web design strategy, and packaging design.
Starting with a brand promise of a simple and personalized online fragrance experience, I came up with the short and memorable name, Perf, to connected the dots between a unique product experience and the fragrance industry.
The logo design represents how the online algorithm brings together different aspects of the customer's personality to create and individualized scent formulation. Our primary color palette is intentionally feminine as that is our target audience, but we did choose a neutral, robust font and developed secondary logo colorways for special usages, like our Father's Day promotion.
